Within a few years, Pizza Pan had grown from a few units to having over 80 locations across the country. It was competing directly against national chains, which had an upper hand on the technology front. Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, and Domino’s were all implementing online ordering. Not having the market share like these large corporations, Pizza Pan wanted to still provide an online ordering solution to their customers.
Approach:
Using owebtech’s ONOSYS Online Ordering software suite Pizza Pan had the tools necessary to have customers place their orders through the web. Stores only needed a fax machine, so a chain wide roll-out had little barriers.
Results:
To date, the sales on the system have gone up over 50% each quarter with average online orders being 30% higher than call in orders. From a database end, Pizza Pan has been able to create a customer database of over 16,000 Pizza Pan Fans.
Today, over 80% of the locations have adapted the online ordering engine into their operations.
